About me
What motivated me to become a psychodynamic therapist and counsellor?
I have always been drawn to work with people. After having had a career in Human Resources, I completed a five year rigorous training programme in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My motivation stems from my early interest in connecting with people and understanding their life stories. I enjoy working intentionally with people who wish to understand their range of emotional intensity, inner conflicts and aspirations. And how these impact the way they interact and see themselves, others, and their environment.
Working with my clients who can't see a way out of their unhelpful patterns and behaviours, but slowly finding a new way of being and living is so rewarding.

I have worked with a variety of different difficulties, including anxiety and depression, trauma and abuse, bereavement and loss, suicidal thoughts and feelings, alcohol and drug use, low self-esteem and confidence, relationship challenges and important life transitions.

Alongside my private practice in St Albans, I work for a well-known charity (based in Watford) that supports individuals experiencing financial hardship, poor health, and mental health challenges. I work with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds.
